We have the biggest Balls of 'em all!

MUSICIAN'S  FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How can I or someone I know perform at the next event or at any future Balls?

Three ways:

First way, Contact us ahead of time by emailing Steve: steve.gourdier@gmail.com   He'll tell you how to get involved and/or what you need to submit to show us what you can do.

Second way, we typically call people up on stage at all our performances, that's what we call "audience participation" and it is encouraged.  You'll need to talk to someone in the band ahead of time and explain what you do. We'll decide whether and when to call you up.

Third way,  We do invite some musicians that we know personally to come up and do a mini-set.  If you are someone we know or a real bonifide washed-up Aging Rock Star let us know you are interested. Contact Steve: steve.gourdier@gmail.com

Will I get paid to perform?

No, thanks for asking.

Unless, of course, you are an invited act, in which case you wouldn't be asking the question.

Will I get in for free because I'll be performing?

No, All our seats are valuable and our overhead is high. In order for us to keep ticket prices low we ask that everyone who attends pay for their seat. Thanks for understanding.

Who is producing the event?

This event is produced by the Navels Entertainment Company. Usually we are just musicians in a band called TheNavels.com  but on Ball nights we moonlight as Aging Rock Stars.

Can I drink your booze?

No, bring your own.

Do I get feed?

Don't expect a meal unless you bring it yourself.

Do I need a costume?

No, but that is a big part of the fun. Rock and Roll themes are recommended, especially from the 60's and 70's. Really, any costume is fine. No nudity.

Can I reserve a table for my friends?

Only if you buy a group of 8 tickets on the internet. All other seating is first come, first serve.

Do I need to bring an instrument?

No, we have instruments you can use if you come up on stage to perform. If you do bring an instrument use your common sense; don't bring anything extremely expensive or anything which will take up lots of room or is time consuming to set up. If you bring something do not interfere with the on-stage entertainers. We'll show you where to put it and let you know when to bring it to the stage.  Musicians who bring big items like amps, keyboards and drums really should contact Steve ahead of time at steve.gourdier@gmail.com

What time is soundcheck?

If we need you for a soundcheck we'll let you know. Otherwise, just show up around 7 p.m. and enjoy the Ball.

Can I bring a cowbell?

Absolutely not. All cowbells will be turned away at the door.

Do we reserve the right to expel troublemakers, underage drinkers and those engaging in other questionable and/or illegal behavior?

Yes, absolutely we do. Yes it is a Rock and Roll show but it's also a family event. "Security!"
